Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • Pick up from your hotel in Arusha, do a quick safari briefing and then depart for the Tarangire National Park. Your first experience of safari will be the thrilling game drive through the vastness of Tarangire National Park.

   • Arrive in good time for lunch, followed by afternoon game drives in the park.

   Dinner and overnight stay at the Sun Bright Campsite.

2. Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

   • Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park with your Tanzanian safari guide. Although small in size, this park is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two-thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley, before which lies the groundwater forest, areas of open grasslands near the lake foreshore, and the Soda Lake.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch in this area, which consists of open grassy areas, hot springs, dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Lake Manyara National Park is also a birding paradise that has more than 450 bird species. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree-climbing lions.

   Dinner and overnight stay at the Sun Bright Campsite.

3. Day 3: Manyara to Serengeti National Park

   • After breakfast, do a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro with your Tanzanian safari guide.

   • Arrive at the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world – Serengeti National Park. The word ‘Serengeti’ means ‘endless plains’, which describes the park’s 5,600 square mile boundary. Yet, for its sprawling area, the Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game-viewing. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration that brings them from central Serengeti to Kenya’s Maasai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the ‘down-time’, vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephant, giraffe, and buffalo. As the lions, leopard, cheetah, hyenas and jackals stalk their meals, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in this open arena.

   Dinner and overnight stay at the Seronera Campsite.

4. Day 4: Serengeti National Park

   • Proceed for a full day game drive at Serengeti National Park with packed lunches till late evening. Get a chance to view the Great Annual Migration and also other animals such as gazelles, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, cheetah, hyenas and jackals etc.

   Drive back to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.  

5. Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

   • After breakfast, do a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch until noon.

   • Do a game drive to see the beauty of this great park. 

   • In the afternoon, after lunch, game en-route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight stay at the Simba Campsite.

6. Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

   • After an early breakfast, descend down the crater for a 6-7 hours game drive with a picnic lunch. You will go into the crater floor for an up-close of the residents at this World Heritage Site.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch here. The Ngorongoro Crater provides great game-viewing year-round. The wildlife here makes up a permanent population because grazing and water supplies are plentiful throughout the seasons.

   • In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
