Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, the tour departs.
First stop is the Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before we head off on safari.
Afterwards, head towards the Tarangire National Park. The park offers plenty of breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats, including Acacia woodlands, water, baobab, strewn cliffs, open grasslands and swamps. And thanks to Tarangire, the park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible birdlife. Tarangire has the largest concentration of elephants per square than anywhere in the world and a host of predators like lions, leopards and cheetah.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Manyara Sun bright Campsite.
-
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
Head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.
Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite for 2 nights.
Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast
-
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Spend your day exploring the area's rich habitats in the central part for its known great sighting of the big cats. The lion research here is the second-longest wild research in the wild, and depending on the time of the year, you might see the great migration. Other sightings may include elephants, hippos, giraffes, hyenas, buffaloes, and gazelles.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite.
Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast.
-
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Go for an early morning game drive and depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with your Tanzanian safari guide.
Arrive at the campsite and enjoy the camping area with a great view of the crater floor or drive to the local pubs and enjoy some beers.
Ngorongoro Simba Campsite is where you will have dinner and do an overnight stay.
Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast.
-
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi
After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopards that sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.
Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.
In the late afternoon, transfer to Eyasi for dinner and overnight stay at Eyasi campsite.
-
Day 6: Lake Eyasi to Arusha
Wake up early in the morning and go hunting with the Bushmen with your expert naturalist. This is one of the best cultural activities one can do in Africa.
Later, return to the camp and practice in an arrow shooting completion.
Drive to the camp and then proceed to Arusha.
