Lake Chala Day Trip
- Your guide will arrive at your accommodation with your tasty, packed lunch, and you will drive to Lake Chala Safari Camp. On the way you will enjoy seeing the everyday life of the Chaga people and also you can see various attractions like the view of Mount Kilimanjaro if you luck.
- Lake Chala Safari Camp is a beautiful private game reserve overlooking Lake Chala. You will arrive there, and your guide will take you down to the lakeside, through vividly green flora, with the blue lake ahead of you. It is a stunning area perfect for hikers and birdwatchers, and in season you might be lucky enough to spot elephants gathering at a distant waterhole. You will spend the day wandering the paths around the lake or across the nearby savannah, where you will likely see baboons, velvet monkeys and blue monkeys, and (perhaps) the shy dik-dik and graceful kudu.
- You can jump into a kayak and explore the lake if you feel more active. You will be serenaded by the presence of birdsong and gentle water plashing as you row.
- After enjoying the marvellous adventures in lake chala you will drive back to Moshi in the late afternoon.
