7-Day Kenya Wildlife Safari with Amboseli, Naivasha and Masai Mara

• After breakfast, drive to the southeast of Kenya to Amboseli National Park, located in Kajiado County in Rift Valley Province, close to the Tanzanian border and Mount Kilimanjaro.

• Arrive around midday at your Amboseli safari lodge or camp. After check-in, lunch will be served at the main restaurant, followed by time to relax before your afternoon safari drive.

• Look out for lions, cheetahs, elephants, plains zebras, hippos, spotted hyenas, jackals, Masai giraffes, wildebeest, impalas, Thomson's and Grant's gazelles. More than 425 bird species have also been recorded here.

Dinner and overnight at an Amboseli safari lodge or camp.

• Spend another day in the park with morning and afternoon safari drives.

• During your free time, visit the nearby Masai Village and learn more about the life and culture of these nomadic people who live alongside wild animals.

All meals at the safari lodge or camp.

• Have an early breakfast at the lodge, then load up and drive to Lake Naivasha through the city of Nairobi and down the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at the Naivasha safari lodge or camp for lunch.

• After lunch, drive to the boat point and take a boat ride around the lake, followed by a short walk among wild animals such as giraffes and zebras on Crescent Island.

• Return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon.

• Breakfast will be served at around 7:30 am, and at around 8:30 am, load up and drive to another lake in the Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru National Park.

• Check in at the main gate and enjoy a game drive before continuing to the safari lodge or camp for lunch.

• After lunch, relax before taking the afternoon safari drive. This park is famous for its birdlife, including thousands of flamingos and other water birds. The park also contains Kenya's largest population of rhinos. The surface of the lake occupies about a third of the park. The lake supports a dense bloom of the blue-green Cyanophyte Spirulina platensis, from which it derives its colour. It is a food source for flamingos.

• After breakfast, load up and drive to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, referred to as the jewel of Kenya's parks. This is Kenya's number one park and is always on every tourist's "must-see list". The Mara is full of life with various types of animals and birds, and Masai Mara crowns the climax of every safari in Kenya. It is home to the Big Five: elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion, and leopard, as well as cheetahs and other game.

• Apart from the Big Five, Masai Mara is most famous for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from the Serengeti in northern Tanzania, crossing the Mara River into Kenya's Masai Mara in search of fresh feeding grounds. This happens between July and October.

• Arrive at the Mara safari lodge or camp for lunch.

• After lunch, relax before heading out for the afternoon game-viewing safari drive in search of the Big Five.

Return to the luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight.

• Spend another day in this famous game reserve with an early morning safari and an afternoon game drive.

• Enjoy a swim at the hotel and relax under the hot African sun.

All meals and overnight at the Mara safari lodge or camp.

• Have breakfast at the hotel's main restaurant, then later load up and drive to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.

• Get dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight home.
