Explore Tanzania's wildlife on a 4-day safari through Arusha, Lake Manyara National Park, and Tarangire National Park. Travel from Arusha to Lake Manyara for a picnic lunch and a late afternoon game drive, with the Rift Valley escarpment creating an impressive backdrop to the lake. Look out for monkeys in the groundwater forest, elephants in the shade, and wildlife such as zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, and hippos. Continue to Tarangire National Park, where huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather around the permanent waters of the Tarangire River during the dry season.
As you approach from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon, forming an impressive backdrop to the lake.

Day by day
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, where you will be transferred to a hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay in preparation for your safari the next day (Ahadi Lodge).
Here, you will meet our experienced guide, who will accompany you to your destination.
The drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park takes about 3 hours.
After a picnic lunch in Manyara, begin a late afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in this park.
As you approach from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon, forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, while elephants stand in the shade along the escarpment. Other animals frequently seen here include zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and more. Stay at Fanaka Safari Lodge on a full-board basis.
Drive from Fanaka to Tarangire National Park, which takes about two hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season, when many migratory wildlife species return to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather in Tarangire until the onset of the rains, when they migrate again to better grazing areas.
Late in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha for dinner.
You will be provided with a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight back home, or begin a trip to Zanzibar Island at an affordable price.
Here, you will see big herds of elephants sharing their lives with you.
