Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Saadani National Park

   • Arrive at Saadani National Park, either by road transfer from Dar es Salaam or a nearby airstrip. If flying, you’ll likely land at the Saadani Airstrip.
   • After a warm welcome, check into your chosen lodge or camp within the park.
   • Enjoy a delicious lunch and some leisure time to relax and settle into your accommodation.
   • In the late afternoon, embark on a thrilling evening game drive to explore the park’s diverse wildlife. Watch for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species.
   • Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: River Safari and Coastal Exploration

   • Start your day with an early morning game drive to catch glimpses of animals during their most active hours.
   • After breakfast, head out for a river safari along the Wami River, which flows through the park and out into the Indian Ocean. On the river, you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and various water birds.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch by the river, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
   • In the afternoon, drive to the beautiful Indian Ocean beach in Saadani National Park. Take a leisurely walk on the sand, swim in the ocean, and relax under the sun.
   • You can also indulge in optional activities like snorkelling or simply enjoy the beach’s tranquil ambience.
   • Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

3. Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Departure

   • On the last day, they wake up early for a final morning game drive to witness wildlife in action before they retreat from the heat of the day.
   • After breakfast, check out from your accommodation and bid farewell to Saadani National Park.
   • Depending on your onward travel arrangements, you will either be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your flight or begin your road journey to your next destination.
