Description
Travel to the southern national park visited by only a handful of travellers each year. At the park's heart is the aptly named Great Ruaha River, a massive watercourse that dwindles to only a few pools in the dry season but bursts its banks and roars over boulders at the height of the rains. Admire the lion, leopard and cheetah, zebra, defassa waterbuck, impala, giraffe and more in this 3-day safari!

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park
Depart Dar es Salaam at 8:30 am and land at 11:00 am in Msembe/Jongomero Airstrip; depending on the camp you shall be accommodated.
Start the game drive the moment the plane touches down; you might see a pair of giraffe parading across the runway or elephant mothers protecting their young one under the shade of a baobab tree.
Eat lunch at the camp.
Enjoy a game drive in Ruaha National Park after lunch.
Dinner and overnight at any of the Camp: Mdonya Old River Camp, Tandala Tented Camp, Ruaha River Lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Ruaha
Enjoy a full day’s game drive in Ruaha National Park after breakfast.
Explore this birdwatchers' paradise with 350 different species of birds.
Spot waterbuck, impala and grant gazelle as wildlife is concentrated along the Great Ruaha River, which is the heart of the wildlife in the park.
Shores of the Great Ruaha River is a permanent hunting ground of lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas and African wild dogs.
Enjoy the fascinating beauty of the Ruaha National Park.
Picnic lunch, dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 3: Ruaha to Dar es Salaam
Eat an early breakfast, and go for a sunrise game drive in Ruaha National Park.
Transfer to the Airstrip for your flight at 11:45 am back to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar.
