Itinerary

1. Day 1: Transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

   • Karibu Tanzania! Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport. He will be waiting for you outside at the exit with a name sign. He will take you to Kibo Palace Arusha for dinner and overnight. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the morning.

2. Day 2: Tarangire National Park

   • Your guide will pick you up in the morning from the Arusha Hotel. The drive to Tarangire National Park will take about 2 hours.
   • On the way, enjoy beautiful views of the local villages and Maasai herds.

     If you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have) you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants – baobab trees all across the park and elephants. Of the big cats, you’ll probably see lions, cheetahs, and leopards around too. Watch out for the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, and zebras. Your guide will take you off the beaten track and share stories about the park and the natural world around you.

   • As you enjoy your meal at the picnic site, the sound of birds singing and the rustling of leaves in the wind will add to the peaceful and serene atmosphere of the moment.

   • Later we leave Tarangire behind us and drive towards the beautiful Heart & Soul Lodge.

   • In the evening, your guide will take you to the hotel, Acacia Farm Lodge, where you will stay overnight.
     

3. Day 3, 4 & 5: Serengeti National Park

   • We’ll depart after breakfast and head towards Serengeti National Park, where we will arrive around lunchtime. The Serengeti is one of the world’s most famous wildlife destinations. 
   • We’ll explore the vast plains in search of the Big Five and other animals. The Serengeti’s scenery is also unforgettable – observe Africa’s iconic acacia trees, the park’s golden grasslands, and great piles of boulders known as kopjes.
   • As the sun begins to set, the experience isn’t over yet – the journey back to your lodge can be just as exciting. 
   • As you make your way through the park, you might catch glimpses of wildlife that are more active in the evening hours. The changing colors of the sky and the warm glow of the setting sun add to the magic of the moment. You’ll spend 3 nights at Nyota Luxury Lodge, which is located in the central part of the Serengeti National Park.

     Optional Activity,

     Rise early for an unforgettable hot air balloon, followed by breakfast.

4. Day 6: Morning in Serengeti, Afternoon in Ngorongoro

   • Today we wake up early and start the day with a beautiful sunrise game drive. There’s something truly magical about experiencing the African wilderness at sunrise, and a sunrise game drive is one of the best ways to do so. The early morning is an incredible time to spot some of the park’s most elusive and active wildlife, including lions, leopards, and hyenas. The cooler temperatures and softer light create the perfect conditions for a memorable safari adventure, as you journey through the park’s vast savannahs and grasslands.
   • In the afternoon, it will be time to head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the journey to the park is an adventure in itself, as you traverse winding roads through breathtaking scenery.
   • In the evening you overnight at Ang'ata Ngorongoro Lodge

     Optional Activity,

     In the afternoon you can do the Crater hikes, Maasai village cultural tour, or archaeological site visit at the Olduvai Gorge.

5. Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

   • This unique natural wonder is home to an incredible array of wildlife, from herds of grazing antelope to majestic lions and towering elephants. 
   • Journeying through the crater on a game drive, you’ll have the chance to spot some of the park’s most iconic species, including black rhinoceros, hippos, and wildebeest. Your experienced guide will share insights into the ecology of the region, as well as stories and facts about the fascinating behaviors of the park’s many species.

     The Ngorongoro Crater is a particularly special location for a game drive due to its enclosed nature. Surrounded by towering walls, the crater forms a natural amphitheater that makes it easy to spot a wide range of wildlife. 

   • You’ll travel through lush forests and open savannahs, taking in breathtaking views of the crater floor and its many inhabitants. 
   • In the afternoon, we’ll drive to Arusha where you overnight at the Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha.

6. Day 8: Transfer to the Airport

   • On this day, depending on the departure time, your driver will be at the reception ready to take you to the Airport for your journey back home.
