Description
Embark on a wildlife tour to Mahale Mountain National Park and set among the spectacular, forested slopes of the Mahale Mountains. See the rainforest, grasslands, alpine bamboo and woodlands, meet around 50 species of animals, and over 90 unique species of fish swim in the clear waters of the lake. Also, spot endangered chimpanzees swinging and chartering from one tree to another.
Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival in Kigoma
- Connect with your tour guide, who will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and transfer you to Dar airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma.
- Another tour representative will pick you up from Kigoma Airport and transfer you to the hotel.
- Have lunch at the hotel and proceed for a short sightseeing tour of Kigoma and Ujiji Town.
Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2- Kigoma – Mahale Mountains National Park
- After breakfast, drive the car halfway up to Sigunga Village, take the boat to the Mahale Mountains National Park and arrive in time for lunch.
Forest walk, swimming, dinner, and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3- Mahale Mountains National Park
- After breakfast, continue with the Chimpanzee trekking in the forest. The hikes that take you to the chimp’s habitation areas are accessible and not strenuous, although being in good physical condition will ease the strain of walking through the jungle.
- Observe the endangered primates.
Meals and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4- Mahale Mountains National Park – Kigoma
- After breakfast, go back to the camp.
- Get hot lunch, followed by a boat transfer back to Sigunga village.
- Pick up on arrival and drive back to Kigoma town.
Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 5- Departure
- After breakfast in Kigoma, transfer to the airport to board your scheduled flight back to Dar.
