Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) to Arusha

   • Arrive at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha (ARK) Airport where your guide/driver will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha.
   • Take the time to relax and prepare for your safari adventure the following day.
   • If you arrive early, explore the city of Arusha with a guided tour.

2. Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • After an early breakfast, enjoy a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's largest parks, covering 2,600 square kilometers.
   • Known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, the park is home to more than 300 strong elephant herds, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and rare species like gerenuk and wild dogs.
   • During the dry season, Tarangire has the highest concentration of mammals in the country and is a birdwatcher's paradise, with over 550 species to observe.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by more game viewing.
   • Afterward, drive to your accommodation in Karatu for a relaxing evening with dinner and an overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

   • After breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
   • Stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for a stunning view of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
   • Descend into the crater, home to around 30,000 mammals, including the "Big Five" (elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion, and leopard). The crater offers remarkable scenery and is one of the best places in East Africa for game viewing and bird watching.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater and continue your game drive in the afternoon.
   • In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and return to Arusha where your safari adventure concludes.
