Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro or Arusha

   • Arrive at the airport at 2:30 AM. Meet your safari representative and transfer to the Ilboru Safari Lodge, where you will check in for the night. 

   • Relax for 7 hours, and begin the day with a hearty breakfast after which you will set out for a tour to a nearby village. Here, you will get a chance to witness the daily lives of the indigenous folk of the region, which includes the Meru and the Maasai. See their farms and learn more about their lifestyle.

   • Return to the hotel late in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara

   • Enjoy an early breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, and an abundance of tree-climbing lions, hippos, baboons, and many other creatures. 

   • Set out for a game drive and enjoy a picnic lunch. The game drive will continue till late in the evening.

   • Transfer to lodge at the Great Rift Valley, which offers a nice view of Lake Manyara National Park. 

   • Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the lodge. 

3. Day 3: Drive to Serengeti National Park

   • Indulge in an early breakfast at the lodge, before setting out for a drive in a 4x4 Safari Jeep with a photographic roof hatch towards the famous Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch and set out for a game drive to see the "Big Five" animals. You will explore the Seronera area, which is a wild paradise where one can spot thousands of wild animals and witness the migration of wildebeest depending on the season.

   • After afternoon game drive, return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

4. Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

   • Enjoy early morning breakfast before setting out for a game drive that will continue till afternoon.

   • Return to the camp for a hot lunch, and retreat for a few hours of relaxation.

   • Resume the game drive late in the afternoon and continue until late evening. Depending on the season, you may get to spot big herds of wildebeest.

   • Return for dinner and overnight stay at the Serena Kubu Kubu Tented Camp.

5. Day 5: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro

   • After breakfast, go for another brief game drive in Serengeti before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a picnic lunch en-route Ngorongoro. 

   • Upon arrival, descend to the crater floor, which is known as one of the great wonders of the world. 

   • Set out for a game drive within the crater. Here, you will again get a chance to see all "Big Five" - lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo and hippos; as well as many other game animals.

   • Drive back in the late evening to enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Masek Tented Camp.

6. Day 6: Transfer from Ngorongoro to Arusha

   • Enjoy a hearty breakfast and set out for a half-day game drive with picnic lunch at Ngorongoro.

   • Depart for transfer to Arusha. Arrive around 17:00 PM.

   • Enjoy a scrumptious dinner and stay overnight at the Ilboru Safari Lodge.

7. Day 7: Final Departure

   • Depart for the last leg of your journey and transfer back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro for your flight back home.
