Description
Mount Meru is a dormant stratovolcano in Arusha National Park, 70 Kilometers west of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Located to the east of Arusha town, about 85 kilometres drive from Moshi town. It is Tanzania’s second highest mountain at 4,566 m, with abundant wildlife from day 1 of the climb. The accommodation is dormitory-style huts. This is a great acclimatization climb before trekking Mt. Kilimanjaro. Why not check out the Lemosho Route, the Coca-cola Route, or the Machame Route on Mount Kilimanjaro for inspiration?
