Itinerary

1. Day 1- Rangwi Sisters Convent

   • Arrive early with private or public transport, and soon upon your arrival, visit the Tourist Information Center for a trip briefing.

   • After the briefing, start walking with your packed lunch through the villages uphill to the Magamba rain forest. This is the day of trekking through natural forest areas, home of black Columbus monkeys, chameleons and many other animals. Enjoy views of pretty landscapes on the way. One can also stay in a lodge on a toilet sharing basis but very clean. Also, the day's trekking is generally very easy, and even an 8-year-old kid can do it comfortably.

   • Later, get picked by private transport and sleep overnight at Rangwi sisters convent.

   6-7hrs trek

2. Day 2- Manglo - Sunga - Mambo villages

   • Trek through the villages of Manolo, Sunga, farming areas and spend the night at Mambo view cliff Inn. The trekking trail will be through lovely landscapes, and you will get a chance to interact with the locals in traditional villages. 

   • Learn conventional local ways of lifestyle when you see the traditional irrigation practices here by the Shambala people.

   • Enjoy views from the Mtae – World-class View Point and enjoy 180-degree views over the Tsavo West, Kenya and Kilimanjaro.

3. Day 3- Back to Lushoto Town

   • Early in the morning, at around 7.30 am, begin the trek for about 2 hours to Mtae village situated on the ridge of the mountains with spectacular views over the Tsavo West, Kenya and Mkomazi National park. 

   • Catch a private transport back to Lushoto, and on the way, pass by the Irente View Point.

   Overnight stay will be in Lushoto.
