Description
Go on a Chimpanzee tracking frenzy with this tour at Gombe National park, made famous by Jane Goodall. Witness the chimpanzees in their natural environment as you scamper through the lush foliage of Tanzania. Explore Gombe’s high levels of diversity that make it an increasingly popular tourist destination. Besides chimpanzees, primates inhabiting Gombe include beachcomber olive baboons, red colobus, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and vervet monkeys.
Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Kigoma - Gombe
Pick-up from your hotel in Dar Es Salaam and transfer to the airport.
Take a flight to Kigoma at 09:30 AM.
Arrive at Kigoma at 11:40 AM and meet our Kigoma tour guide.
Transfer to a restaurant for lunch before going to Kibirizi Port.
Take a boat ride to Gombe National Park via Lake Tanganyika (world's longest and second deepest lake).
Do the required park registration, check-in at the rest house and depart for chimpanzee tracking. You will also witness other primates like Colobus Monkey, baboon, forest pig, dik-dik and various tropical birds.
Have dinner and overnight stay at Tanapa Rest House.

Day 2: Gombe National Park
Have breakfast at the rest house and depart for chimpanzee tracking yet again.
Climb to the Kakombe waterfall, which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the park.
Walk to an abandoned chimpanzee feeding station with our tour guide.
Return to the rest house for lunch.
Relax in the lodge or go for a swim in Lake Tanganyika.
Have dinner and overnight stay at Gombe rest house.

Day 3: Dar Es Salaam
Have breakfast and catch the boat to Kigoma at 09:00 AM.
Reach Kigoma at 10:30 AM and get transferred to the airport to catch a flight to Dar Es Salaam.
Flight Duration: 12:50 PM -15:00 PM.
