Itinerary

1. Day 1- Airport Arrival

   • Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. 

   • Transfer to Planet Lodge for dinner and overnight HB. (40 km, 30 minutes)

   Arusha Distance: 30km /50km 

   Meals: Dinner and Overnight HB

   Accommodation: Planet Lodge or similar accommodation

2. Day 2- Tarangire National Park

   • After breakfast, start your tour. Our first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before you head off on safari. 

   • Head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. 

   • Enjoy dinner and overnight at Maramboi Tented Camp.

   Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed, and breakfast

3. Day 3- Lake Manyara National Park

   • After breakfast, depart for the tour. Our first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before we head off on safari. 

   • Afterward, head to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible birdlife. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing. 

   • Experience dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse.

   Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed, and breakfast

4. Day 4- Serengeti National Park

   • After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

   • Head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. 

   • Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. 

   • Enjoy dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp for 2 nights.

   Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast

   Accommodation: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp or similar accommodation

5. Day 5- Serengeti National Park

   • After breakfast, enjoy game drives in Serengeti National Park. Leaving the highlands behind, descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

   • Then, head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

   • Savour dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp for 2 nights.

   Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast

6. Day 6- Serengeti National Park

   • Spend a full day at the Serengeti National Park game driving and following the wildebeest migration.

   • Delight with dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp with your Tanzania tour guide.

   Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast

   Accommodation: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp or similar accommodation

7. Day 7- Serengeti National Park

   • Spend a full day Serengeti National Park game driving and following the wildebeest migration. 

   • Relish dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

   Meals: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast

   Accommodation: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp or similar accommodation

8. Day 8- Ngorongoro Conservation Area

   • Go for an early morning game drive and afterwards, depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. 

   • Make a stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.

   • In the late afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge, where you will have dinner and overnight.

9. Day 9- Departure - End of Tour

   • After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.

   • Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. 

   • Late afternoon, transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight or airport drop off. (Accommodation can be included upon request at extra cost)
