Day 4: Drive to Lake Manyara
Drive after breakfast from the Highview Hotel to Lake Manyara National Park, which takes about 30 Minutes.
Have a picnic lunch in Manyara.
Start an afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in this park. When you approach it from the East Rift Valley, the escarpment looms on the horizon, forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch; on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, and hippos.
Come back to Moshi in the late afternoon.
