Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park
- Get breakfast; depart from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park at 7:00 am with packed lunch for a game drive. Expect to see a large population of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, zebras, velvet monkeys, kudus, and many more attractions. Mikumi National Park is the third-largest park in Tanzania (3230 sq. km). The main feature is the floodplain of the Mkata River, together with the Uluguru mountain ranges, which border the park on two sides.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park – Nyerere National Park
- After breakfast, leave for Nyerere at 7:30 am by a 4x4 Vehicle with packed lunch. Enter Africa's largest protected area uninhabited by man after 5-6 hours of driving, where Tanzania's greatest population of elephants wanders in an area bigger than Switzerland. The Park is considered important enough to be a World Heritage Site, in which the lucky few can experience a safari in the wild and unspoiled bush.

Day 3: Nyerere National Park
- After breakfast, go for a full-day game drive with our packed lunch. The park varies from rolling grassy woodlands and plains to rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River, the park's lifeblood, whose tributaries form a network of lakes, lagoons, and channels. Volcanic hot springs even burst forth in places. The Rufiji offers a superb method of game viewing, especially during the dry season when animals congregate. Expect to see elephants, antelopes, zebras, hippos, lions, and giraffes, and, if you’re lucky, you will see hunting dogs and various species of birds.

Day 4: Nyerere National Park
- Early morning half-day game drive with our packed breakfast. The Park was introduced as a heritage site by UNESCO. Therefore, the Park is home to a pride of lions, endangered wild dogs, giraffes, buffalos, herds of elephants wandering in an area bigger than Switzerland, and many more. Therefore, return to the lodge for a hot lunch and enjoy an afternoon boat safari.

Day 5: Nyerere National Park – Dar es Salaam
- The day starts with an early morning walking safari with a guided armed ranger.
- Afterwards, return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, depart back to Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch.
