Itinerary

1. Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Udzungwa Mountains National Park

   • After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountain National Park via Mikumi National Park. 

   Overnight at Tented Camp / Lodges / Hotel / Campsites / Cottages on FB Basis.

2. Day 2: Udzungwa Mountains National Park

   • Embark on a hike accompanied by a ranger in the mountain rainforest of the Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Discover various species of monkeys and forest antelopes, including the endemic "Iringa red Colobus" Colobus monkey and two unique tree species. Explore the hidden giant waterfalls nestled within the steep mountain slopes of the rainforest.

3. Day 3: Udzungwa Mountains National Park – Ruaha National Park

   • Travel to the city of Iringa, located at an elevation over 1,500 meters, where necessary supplies, water, and fuel for the upcoming days are procured. Proceed to a Wildlife Controlled Area bordering Ruaha National Park. 

   Overnight at Tented Camp / Lodges / Hotel / Campsites / Cottages on FB Basis.

4. Day 4: Ruaha National Park

   • Embark on a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park with a packed lunch box.

5. Day 5: Ruaha National Park

   • Continue with a full-day game drive in the breathtaking Ruaha National Park, renowned for its scenic beauty. Encounter a wide range of East African big game species, excluding wildebeest and Thomson's gazelle. Experience the park's stunning hills adorned with Miombo Woodland and the magnificent Great Ruaha River, home to numerous hippos and crocodiles. 

   Overnight at Tented Camp / Lodges / Hotel / Campsites / Cottages on FB Basis.

6. Day 6: Ruaha National Park

   • Dedicate the day to extensive game drives within Ruaha National Park.

7. Day 7: Ruaha National Park – Mikumi National Park

   • After breakfast, drive to Mikumi National Park and enjoy an afternoon game drive. Mikumi National Park showcases vast Miombo bushland and wide grassy plains, which transform into flooded landscapes during the rainy season. Encounter diverse wildlife, including the southernmost occurrences of the East African wildebeest.

8. Day 8: Mikumi National Park – Morogoro Town

   • Embark on a game drive in Mikumi National Park, followed by a drive to Morogoro and the beautiful Uluguru Mountains, located on the western edge of Nyerere National Park. 

   Overnight at Tented Camp / Lodges / Hotel / Campsites / Cottages on FB Basis.

9. Day 9: Morogoro Town – Nyerere National Park

   • Drive to Nyerere National Park after breakfast, accompanied by a packed lunch box. 

   Overnight at Lodge / Tented Camp / Campsite on FB Basis.

10. Day 10: Nyerere National Park

    • Embark on a full-day game drive from west to east in Nyerere National Park, including additional game drives to explore the park's lakes. 

    Overnight at Tented Camp / Lodges / Hotel / Campsites / Cottages on FB Basis.

11. Day 11: Nyerere National Park

    • After breakfast, enjoy a walking safari or game drive within the park. In the afternoon, experience a boat safari on the Rufiji River.

12. Day 12: Nyerere National Park – Dar es Salaam

    • After breakfast, embark on a partially adventurous trip through bushland and remote villages to reach Dar es Salaam or directly head to Dar es Salaam Airport (if you plan to fly home in the evening).
