1. Full-Day City tour in Arusha

   Morning

   • Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre: Start your tour at the Cultural Heritage Centre. It's a great place to learn about Tanzanian art, crafts, and culture. You can see Tingatinga paintings, Maasai crafts, and other local artwork.  It often has demonstrations of traditional crafts as well.
   • Central Market (Soko Kuu): Immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere of the Central Market. This is where locals shop for everything from fresh produce and spices to clothing and household goods. It's a sensory overload but a fantastic way to experience everyday life in Arusha. Be prepared to haggle!
   • Clock Tower: Visit the iconic Clock Tower, a landmark in Arusha. It's a good spot for photos and a city reference point.

   Afternoon

   • Arusha Declaration Museum: This museum provides insights into Tanzania's political past and explains the Arusha Declaration, a significant document in Tanzanian history that outlined the country's socialist principles.
   • National Natural History Museum of Arusha: Explore the region's natural history at this museum. It features exhibits on fossils, minerals, and wildlife, providing context for the safaris you might be embarking on.
   • Lunch: Enjoy a local Tanzanian meal at a restaurant in the city. Try some ugali (a staple food made from maize flour), nyama choma (grilled meat), or other delicious dishes.

   Late Afternoon/Evening

   • Maasai Market: If you're looking for souvenirs, the Maasai Market is a good place to find handcrafted items like jewellery, clothing, and carvings. Again, bargaining is expected.
   • Coffee Plantation Tour:  If you have time, consider a short trip outside the city to a coffee plantation. You can learn about growing, roasting, and brewing coffee and enjoy a fresh cup.
   • Relax and Dinner: After a day of exploring, relax at your hotel or enjoy dinner at a restaurant with views of Mount Meru.
