Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrival & Beach Relaxation

   Morning:

   • Arrive at Ushongo Beach: Depending on how you travel, you can take a flight to Tanga or drive to Ushongo Beach from Tanga (about 1.5-2 hours).
   • Check into your accommodation: There are several beachfront resorts and lodges around Ushongo. A popular option is Ushongo Bay Resort or Tanga Beach Resort. Enjoy the scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere.

   Afternoon:

   • Lunch by the Beach: Enjoy fresh seafood at a beachside restaurant, many of which offer a view of the turquoise waters.
   • Beach Time: Relax on the beautiful beach, swim in the warm waters, or try snorkeling. The beach is calm, perfect for swimming, and has a gentle breeze.
   • Water Activities: If you’re up for some adventure, you can rent kayaks or go for a boat ride along the coast.

   Evening:

   • Sunset Viewing: Ushongo Beach has amazing sunsets, so find a good spot to relax and watch the sun dip into the horizon.

2. Day 2: Explore & Adventure

   Morning:

   • Explore the Surroundings: Take a walk around the beach and explore nearby fishing villages. You may come across local markets, or you can just enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

   Mid-Morning:

   • Visit Tanga: If you're interested in culture, a short trip to Tanga city (about 1.5 hours by car) offers historical and cultural sites. Explore the Tanga Museum, the old fort, or the local markets to see the Swahili culture in full swing.

   Afternoon:

   • Lunch: Head back to Ushongo for lunch and enjoy your last taste of the area’s cuisine.
   • Snorkeling or Scuba Diving: If you're an avid diver, this is a great spot to explore underwater life. You can join a guided scuba diving or snorkeling tour to visit coral reefs and spot colorful fish.
