Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival and Rhino Sanctuary Exploration

   Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Travel to Mkomazi & Park Entry

   • Depart from your starting point (Arusha or Moshi) and travel to Mkomazi National Park. The drive offers scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside.
   • Arrive at the park gate, complete entry formalities, and meet your experienced guide.
   • Begin your first game drive as you enter the park, keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way.

   Afternoon (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM): Black Rhino Sanctuary Visit & Game Drive

   • Enjoy a packed lunch in a designated picnic area within the park.
   • Proceed to the black rhino sanctuary for a dedicated visit. Here, you'll have the opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their protected environment.
   • Continue with an afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of the park. Your guide will track wildlife and provide insights into the park's ecosystem.
   • Focus on areas known for African wild dog sightings.

   Evening (5:00 PM onwards): Lodge/Campsite Arrival & Relaxation

   • Arrive at your chosen accommodation (lodge, tented camp, or campsite) within or near the park.
   • Settle in and enjoy dinner.
   • Relax and listen to the sounds of the African night.

2. Day 2: Wilderness Exploration & Departure

   Morning (6:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Early Morning Game Drive & Birdwatching

   • Embark on an early morning game drive to maximize your chances of wildlife sightings. Early mornings are often the best time to see predators and other active animals.
   • Focus on birdwatching, as Mkomazi is home to a diverse array of avian species.
   • Enjoy a bush breakfast.

   Afternoon (12:00 PM - 3:00 PM): Final Game Drive & Park Exit

   • Enjoy a final game drive, exploring areas of the park you may have missed on the first day.

   • Depart from Mkomazi National Park.

   Late Afternoon (3:00 PM Onwards): Return Journey

   • Begin your return journey to your starting point (Arusha or Moshi).
