Itinerary
-
Arusha to Tarangire national park
- You've been dreaming of your Tanzanian safari for so long and the day when it begins has finally arrived. We'll greet you, give you a quick rundown on what happens next and answer your questions.
- Then we'll take you out to discover what this incredible country has to offer. Many travelers rate Tarangire among their favorite national parks anywhere in Tanzania.
- Here in Tarangire, you can look for lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
- But you won’t have to look hard to see baboons, vervet monkeys, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. And you’ll come across elephants and baobabs everywhere, two giants of the African bush.
- Also an enjoyable part of your Tarangire experience will be the rolling savannah scenery, which includes rivers and low hills. And while it can get busy, crowds of cars will not be a problem here. You will stay overnight at Country Lodge
-
Day 2- Karatu - Southern Serengeti National Park
- Many visitors fall in love with the Serengeti here in the south of the park.
- That's because the wildlife viewing is outstanding as the animals move across the golden grasslands that are so typical of the Serengeti. This landscape is perfect for cheetahs, and the rocky outcrops here allow spotting of lions and leopards. Stay overnight at Sero Tented Camp.
-
Day 3- Southern Serengeti
- Return to the Southern Serengeti for further exploration of this wildlife area.
- As you explore, you'll encounter a diverse array of wildlife, from graceful gazelles to powerful lions, all coexisting in this vibrant ecosystem.
- The Southern Serengeti is also home to a variety of bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike. Stay at Sero Tented Camp
-
Day 4- Ngorongoro Crater
- Today you’ll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you’ll experience otherworldly beauty with extraordinary wildlife.
- Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other.
- Down below on the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in a state of pristine isolation, one that shelters lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden jackals.
- There are also forests, hippo-filled lakes, a salt pan and hyena dens, and you’ll never lose the sense that you’ve stumbled into a safari theme park where everything’s wild. Stay at Country Lodge
-
Day 5- Mto Wa Mbu
- Mto wa Mbu is the main gateway town for Lake Manyara National Park, which is just a few kilometers away. It's a fun place to explore and catch a glimpse of local life, with plenty of activity on its busy streets.
- It's also one of Tanzania's most multicultural towns, with all 120 of the country's ethnic groups present in town. This is where your safari in Tanzania will end.
We hope that you have had the most fabulous trip and we can't wait to help you plan your next safari.
