Day 01
From Alanya to Cappadocia's Valleys and Underground Wonders
- Pick up from your hotel in Alanya and have breakfast at the restaurant with a lunch box from the hotel.
- Continue to Saratlı Kırkgöz Underground City, a magnificent historical wonder that has captured the imagination of people with its rich history. Situated near the Aksaray-Nevşehir main road, about 25 km from the city centre, it is considered one of Aksaray's hidden gems.
- Have lunch in Cappadocia and proceed to Fantasy Valley or the Pottery and Ceramics Center.
- The next stop will be Güvercinlik Vadisi (Pigeon Valley), which earned its name from the countless man-made dovecotes (pigeon houses) carved into the soft volcanic tuff. Since ancient times, pigeons have been used in the Cappadocia region for food and fertiliser for the infertile soil.
- Visit the centre of Turkish delights and sweets.
- The Göreme Open-Air Museum resembles a vast monastic complex composed of scores of refectory monasteries placed side by side, each with its own fantastic church. It is obviously the first sight to be visited by any traveller in Cappadocia, standing as it does in the very centre of the region with easy access from all directions.
- Love Valley is located near the town of Göreme in Nevşehir. It is one of the most beautiful valleys of Cappadocia. Especially the panoramic view of the Valley of Love is the best. Due to the special conditions of the valley, it is called the Valley of Love.
- Arrival and accommodation in a 4-star hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
- A laser show will be held in the open-air theatre after dinner as part of the Cappadocia night show programme.
