Mustafa Uysun is a travel specialist, senior tour guide, art historian, author, and documentary photographer.He has led cultural groups as well as special-interest private tours.He wrote a book called "Kapadokya Kaya Kiliseleri İkonogrası" in Turkish, this book is the first guidebook about Cappadocian Rock-cut churches iconography ever written by a Cappadocianprofessional tourist guide.His books are included on suggested reading lists at various universities.Mustafa Uysun teaches courses in Byzantine Art and Iconography in Cappadocia.Mustafa Uysun is lives in Cappadocia.He is still working as a senior tourist guide in Cappadocia.

Early life and education

Mustafa Uysun was born in the town of Ürgüp near Nevşehir in 1966.After high school, He joined a private English course.After graduation from the course, he started documentary photography and did research about Byzantine History and iconography in Cappadocian Rock-cut churches.He attended tourist guide training programs offered by the Ministry of Tourism and became a national professional tourist guide in 1991.He finished in Nevşehir Hacıbektaş University, Department of Art History.
