Ephesus & Sirince Highlights
- According to your tour pick up time, meet with your guide at the hotel's lobby and start to visit Ephesus, an ancient port city whose well-preserved ruins are in modern-day Turkey. The city was once considered the most important greek city and the most important trading center in the Mediterranean region.
- Visit The Odeon, The Bouleterion, Fountains, The Temples, The Brothel, The Celsus Library, The Agoras, The Great Theatre, and The Roman Bath Gymnasiums, and the Temple of Artemis.
- Head to the village of Sirince. In the village, this new village on the mountain was called Cirkince, meaning rather ugly, to draw less attention and interest of outsiders, thus ensuring security. In 1924, a Population Exchange Agreement was signed between the Turkish and Greek governments. Thus, the post-war Kirkica was revitalized. Souvenir shops, an open market, a dozen restaurants, and a few guest houses scatter the village's pretty cobbled streets.
- After the tour, you will be back at your hotel.
