From Upper Gate to the Lower Gate, Ephesus
- Before we start our tour of the ancient site of Ephesus, please note that we will be walking nearly 2 km from the gate to the lower gate, where our driver will meet us. It is vital to wear comfortable sports shoes, bring a bottle of water, and a sun hat.
- Once inside, we will see a reconstruction of Ephesus to orient ourselves before we begin the tour of the following points: Roman baths, Odeon, Basilica, State Agora, Prytaneon (Artemis statue), Sacred Way, Domitian Square, Temple of Domitian, Nike Relief, Polio Fountain, Monument of Memius, Hercules Gate, Kuretes Street, Trajan's Fountain, Hadrian's Temple, Upper Gymnasium Baths, Terrace Houses (if private), Public Latrines, Celsus Library, House of Pleasure, Marble Way, Great Theater, Arcadian Street, and the Church of Mary.
- After visiting Ephesus, our driver will take us to the House of the Virgin Mary at Mount Koresos. Finally, on our way back to the hotel in Selçuk, we will visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The tour will conclude with a closing speech, and as the guide's last task, he will ensure your safe return to the hotel.
