Itinerary

1. Day 1- Ashgabat

   • Meet your Ashgabat tour guide at the international airport of Ashgabat. 

   • Check in to a 4* hotel and have breakfast.

   • Do the Ancient Nisa tour: Old Nisa is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is one of the first capitals of the Parthian Empire (III century BC - III century AD), one of the largest state entities of the ancient world.

   • Visit the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque in Gypja. This is the main mosque in Turkmenistan, the largest single-domed mosque globally and one of the largest in Central Asia, where 20,000 people can pray at one time!

   • Have lunch at a local restaurant.

   • Drive to see the Kov-Ata underground lake. Kow-Ata, Bakharden Lake is a natural underground lake. The name translated from Turkmen means “father of caves”. Located 100 kilometres from Ashgabat, the water temperature is from +33 to +38 ° C all year round.

   Have dinner at a local restaurant and do an overnight stay in a hotel. 

2. Day 2- Darvaza Gas Crater

   • After breakfast at the hotel, there will be some free time for shopping in the Berkarar shopping mall. 

   • Have lunch and proceed with a drive through the Karakum desert to reach the Darvaza gas crater (280 km).

   • Arrive at Darvaza- the most famous place in Turkmenistan (280 km from Ashgabat). One can see the gas crater burning here in the Karakum desert.

   • Walk around the Spark of Karakum and have a traditional dinner at Darvaza. 

   Overnight stay in tents.

3. Day 3- Ashgabat

   • After an early breakfast, proceed with a drive back to Ashgabat.

   • On the way back, visit the Yerbent village and have lunch with a Turkmen family.

   • Arrive at Ashgabat.

   • Go on a cable-car ride in the Kopetdag Mountains.

   • Visit the Ertugrul Gazi mosque.

   • Have dinner at a local restaurant.

   • In the night, proceed for a night tour of Ashgabat and see the Wedding Palace, Health Path and Ferris Wheel. 

   Overnight stay at a hotel.

4. Day 4- Ashgabat

   • After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Eastern bazaar "Altyn Asyr" (Tolkuchka). The Eastern Bazaar is the first largest market in Ashgabat and Turkmenistan and the 5th largest in Central Asia as there are over 2,155 stores. This bazaar was also built in a carpet-like pattern of the Akhal velayat, a vast territory of 154 hectares.

   • Have lunch at a local restaurant.

   • Drive to the Horse Farm in Gokdepe. Explore the surrounding areas and get familiarised with the famous Akhalteke horses.

   • Return to Ashgabat and have dinner at a local restaurant.

   • Transfer to the international airport for return flights.
