Full-Day Tour of White Temple, Blue Temple, and Hill Tribe Village
08:30 hrs: Pick up from the hotel lobby and depart to discover the connection between the three significant temples of Chiang Rai. See the White Temple and the newly constructed Blue Temple. Wat Rong Khun, commonly called the White Temple, is a contemporary unconventional Buddhist and Hindu temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand. National Artist Mr Chalermchai Kositpipat designed it. Construction for Wat Rong Khun began in 1997 and continues to this day. White Temple is different from any other temple in Thailand, as its Image hall, consecrated assembly hall, is designed in white with some use of white glass. The white colour represents Lord Buddha’s purity; the white glass represents Lord Buddha’s wisdom that "shines brightly all over the Earth and the Universe." We want to recommend the temple called ”Rong Suea Ten” or the Blue Temple, which a student of Mr Chalermchai Kositpipat built the famous White Temple. Blue Temple was established on October 27th, 2005, and completed on January 22nd, 2016 (The temple is already one-year-old now.) It is on an area of 6 acres. Blue represents the Dharma, the Lord Buddha's virtue code of morals that spread worldwide becomes the doctrine of logically naturalistic as the bright blue sky. This temple displays contemporary Buddhist art that implies the Lord Buddha‘s doctrine. The concept led the Buddhists to turn back and study the Dharma to apply it to their daily life as well as demand to review this for withdrawal from the round of existences called ”The 4 Noble Truths”, gospel truth and the Eightfold Path (the path that leads people to the extinguish of sufferings). Visit the long neck hill tribe and see the incredible length of the neck, which carries almost 25-26 rings on their shoulders (a new settlement village that migrated from Southern Burma nearly ten years ago). Return to Chiang Mai.
