Pink Lake & Noflaye Tortoises Village Visit
- Get picked up at the agreed-upon location and cross the Senegalese suburbs.
- Stop at a local market to observe the locals doing their daily shopping.
- Watch them with the calabashes or basket doing their shopping, something distinctly Senegalese.
- Click portraits of the locals dressed in their African attires and some scenes of their activities.
- Visit the Pink Lake, ten times saltier than the Ocean and given to acquiring a pink hue when the weather is sunny and windy.
- Take a Jeep to tour around the lake.
- See the salt harvesters and drive on what used to be the Dakar Rally's tracks, plus the dunes and the beach.
- Relax with a swim and float in the lake.
- Have lunch at Chez Salim Hotel and head to Noflaye Tortoises Village, the Botanic Tortoises Reserve.
- Learn about them and the purpose of the Reserve - to protect and reintroduce tortoises in areas where they have completely vanished!
- Drop off at the hotel or any other location as preferred.
