Itinerary

1. Day 1: Explore Bled Castle

   • Meet your tour guide and transfer to the Bled Castle, a medieval castle built on a precipice above the city of Bled, overlooking Lake Bled. Enjoy the views of the Bled Castle and the Island. 

   • Learn about exquisite paintings and artworks in the Museum of Apiculture which offers everything you need to know about the history and development of beekeeping in Slovenia. 

2. Day 2: Sightseeing of Ptuj

   • Meet your tour guide and go sightseeing in Ptuj.

   • Visit the Ptujska Gora Church, built on top of a hill and is a dominant area's dominant landmark. The church is known as the Basilica of the Virgin of Mercy and is one of the best-known pilgrimage churches in Slovenia.  

   • Do river rafting on the Drava river, a major right-bank tributary of the Danube River. 

3. Day 3: Visit the Karstic Caves

   • Explore the Postojna Cave, the second-longest cave system in the country and one of its top tourism sites. The caves were created by the Pivka River. 

   • See horse stables at Lipica.

   • Visit the Sečovlje Salt Pans, the largest Slovenian salt evaporation pond. 

4. Day 4: Explore Stična monastery

   • Visit the Stična monastery, the oldest monastery in Slovenia and the only Cistercian monastery in the country still operating. 

   • Go to Novo Mesto wine cottage to taste the renowned red wine and finish with a piglet barbecue party.
