Itinerary

Early Morning
- 5:00 AM – Hotel/residence pickup for a scenic drive to Akagera National Park.
- 6:30 AM – Stop at Imigongo Art Center. Enjoy a coffee break and explore the unique Imigongo art, an important part of Rwanda’s cultural heritage.
Morning
- 7:30 AM – Arrive at Akagera National Park. Embark on a boat cruise on Lake Ihema to spot hippos, crocodiles, and diverse bird species.
- 8:30 AM – Begin a full game drive through Akagera’s varied landscapes, including savannahs, woodlands, and lakeshores. Look out for the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalo), plus giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
Midday
- 12:30 PM – Picnic lunch at the Mihindi Picnic Area, surrounded by nature.
Afternoon
- 1:30 PM – Continue the game drive to Kilala Plain, known for open landscapes and abundant wildlife sightings.
Late Afternoon
- 3:30 PM – Exit the park through the North Gate and start the drive back to Kigali.
Evening
