Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Nyungwe National Park

   • Arrival at Kamembe Airport in Rusizi or Kigali International Airport. 
   • Transfer to your chosen accommodation in or near Nyungwe National Park. 
   • Check-in and relax after your journey. 
   • Enjoy a leisurely evening and prepare for your adventure.

2. Day 2: Nyungwe Rainforest Exploration

   • After an early breakfast, embark on a guided forest trek in Nyungwe National Park. 
   • Choose from various trekking options, such as chimpanzee trekking, bird watching, or hiking. 
   • Explore the lush rainforest, where you can encounter a variety of primates, including chimpanzees and colobus monkeys, as well as a diverse range of bird species. 
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the rainforest. In the afternoon, visit the Nyungwe Canopy Walkway, a suspended bridge that offers stunning treetop views.

   Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

3. Day 3: Cultural Experience and Departure

   • Visit a local tea plantation to learn about Rwanda's tea industry and interact with the community.
   • Explore the nearby Gisakura Tea Factory and learn about the tea production process.
   • Enjoy a traditional Rwandan lunch.
   • Depending on your departure plans, you may have some free time to explore nearby attractions or relax at your lodge.
   • Check out from your accommodation and transfer to Kamembe Airport or Kigali International Airport for your onward journey.
