Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Cultural Welcome

   • Arrive at Kigali International Airport.
   • Transfer to your hotel in Kigali and check in.
   • Enjoy a traditional Rwandan dinner and cultural performance to kick off your journey.

   Overnight in Kigali.

2. Day 2: Bisoke Volcano Hike

   • After an early breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park (approximately 2-3 hours).
   • Embark on a guided hike to the summit of Mount Bisoke, an active volcano. The hike offers stunning views of the surrounding area.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch at the summit.
   • Descend the volcano and return to your lodge.

3. Day 3: Cultural Immersion and Ibyiwacu Village Visit

   • Begin your day with a visit to a nearby Rwandan community. Participate in traditional activities like basket weaving, dancing, and cooking.
   • Enjoy a traditional Rwandan lunch with the local community.
   • In the afternoon, visit the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, where you'll learn more about Rwandan culture, traditions, and history.
   • Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

4. Day 4: Twin Lakes Exploration and Departure

   • Depart for the picturesque Twin Lakes, Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo (approximately 2-3 hours drive).
   • Take a boat ride on one of the lakes, soaking in the stunning scenery and birdwatching.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch by the lakeside.
   • Optionally, you can interact with the local communities in the area.
   • In the afternoon, drive back to Kigali.
   • Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time for last-minute shopping or additional city exploration.
   • Depart from Kigali International Airport.
