Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Akagera National Park

   • Arrive in Akagera National Park, which is located in the eastern part of Rwanda.
   • Check-in to your chosen accommodation inside or near the park.
   • Enjoy lunch at your lodge.
   • In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in Akagera National Park. This is an opportunity to spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and various antelope species.

   Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

2. Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive and Boat Safari

   • After breakfast, we set out for a full day of game driving in Akagera National Park.
   • Explore different park areas and watch for the diverse wildlife that inhabits the area.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
   • In the afternoon, take a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species, including African fish eagles.
   • Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

3. Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Departure

   • Start the day with an early morning game drive, which is often the best time to spot predators such as lions and hyenas.
   • After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast and check out.
   • Depending on your departure plans, you may have time for additional activities, such as a visit to the Akagera Conservation Center or a community visit.
   • Depart from Akagera National Park and return to Kigali or your next destination.
