Embark on an exhilarating 5-day cycling adventure in Rwanda, starting with the Twin Lakes Village Ride, offering breathtaking views of five volcanic peaks in the Virunga massive—cycle along the Congo Nile Trail, covering 204 km of rolling hills and lakeside villages. Then, cross the KOKO River and ride through banana plantations to Kibuye. Next, experience Rwanda's biodiversity with a drive to the Gisovu tea plantation, which offers views of Nyungwe National Park, followed by a ride to Kibogora. Wrap up your journey with a 55 km ride from Kibogora to Cyangugu.
Itinerary

Day 1: Twin Lakes Village Ride
- This is a village ride along the twin lakes with views of 5 peaks of the volcanoes, among eight volcanoes that form the Virunga massive, the home of mountain gorillas.
- During your cycle in the area with local people, it provides a unique understanding of their daily life and cultural experiences.
- The tour starts at Musanze town.
- We shall take the car to Gisenyi.
Overnight stay at Inzu Lodge.

Day 2: Rubavu To Kinunu
- Welcome to Congo Nile Trail.
- The Congo Nile Trail is a trail along Lake Kivu that extends from Rubavu, continues through Rutsiro via the Karongi and Nyamasheke districts and ends in Rusizi District.
- This is a divide of both the Congo and Nile basin.
- These four days, 204 km in total, go through beautiful landscapes of rolling hills and incredible sights of Lake Kivu.
- The entire trek can be completed in 5 days, according to an old map; however, some parts have been introduced into the tarmac, so we escape the tarmac and make it four days in villages.
- After your breakfast, settle on bikes. This is a day ride along Lake Kivu and various villages with different plantations via the waterfall of Cyimbiri through rural settlements in the small fishing village of Nkora and Rwinyoni coffee washing station.

Lunch stops at Nkora fishing village.

Day 3: Kinunu To Kibuye (Karongi)
- This is the most challenging day but also the most beautiful.
- Get to understand why we named the Congo Nile, as we will be crossing the KOKO River, one of the rivers that form the Congo River.
- Ride along the lake for a long and pass through plenty of banana plantations used to make banana beers.
- The first 30 km is in villages.
- Then we will take a boat to Kibuye, relax, and visit the islands.

Day 4: Kibuye (Karongi) To Kibogora
- Another day to enjoy the beauty of Rwanda's biodiversity after your breakfast.
- You will have to drive for about 25 minutes to the starting point in Gisovu tea plantation.
- Via Source of the Nile in Nyungwe, you will have a nice view of Nyungwe National Park.
- You will ride overnight for about 30 minutes in the park towards Kibogora missionary place.

Day 5: Kibogora To Cyangugu (Kamembe)
- The last day of your ride will start from your accommodation.
- You will go to Kamembe, ascending and descending to many places.
- Riding in different plantations, rice and cassava plantations along the lake, and fishing villages.
