Itinerary

1. Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park and reach your Hotel

   • Depart from the hotel for a 6-hour ride to Nyungwe Forest National Park. 
   • Explore the natural beauty of Nyungwe Forest during the ride. 
   • Discover the Albertine Rift, a series of mountain ranges beginning at the Rwenzori Mountains in western Uganda and including eastern D.R. Congo, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and northern Zambia. 
   • Enjoy a soul-pleasing dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hotel.

2. Day 2: Wildlife encounters with Chimpanzee Tracking & adventurous Canopy Walkway

   • Transfer to a section of Nyungwe Forest known as Cyamudongo, where most of Rwanda’s habituated chimpanzees are located. 
   • Listen carefully and you may hear the chimps before you see them swinging from the trees or possibly running around on the ground all around you.
   • You may also encounter some of the other species such as Silver Monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, Owl faced monkeys, Red-Tailed Monkeys, Crowned Monkeys, Dent’s Mona Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys and Olive baboons and if you're really lucky may include the rather impressive Blue Turaco. 
   • Dinner and Overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hotel.

3. Day 3: Learn the art of picking tea leaves and return back Kigali.

   • Pay a soothing visit to the Gisakura tea plantation and learn the art of picking tea leaves.
   • Wander through the lush tea estate to adventure close to the variety of parallel ridges of tea. 
     • You will learn how tea is grown and harvested, the best tea leaves to pick and how to pick them before you put them in an open traditional basket which you will be carrying on your back.
   • This morning, after your activity in the park your guide will transfer you from Nyungwe Forest National Park back to Kigali.
