Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival at Kigali

   • Arrive at Kigali International airport and meet your local tour guide for transfer to Mille Colline hotel.
   • Have lunch and go for a short Kigali city tour which includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre.

   Overnight stay at the hotel.

2. Day 2: King's Palace & Ethnographic Museum

   • Enjoy breakfast and head to the southwest of Rwanda for visiting museums like the King's Palace Museum and the National Museum of Rwanda or Ethnographic Museum.

   • Go to a local mountain coffee plantation for the best coffee taste in the world.

   Overnight stay at Hill Top View Lodge. 

3. Day 3: Nyungwe Rain Forest

   • Head to the Nyungwe Rain Forest headquarters for the canopy walkway. 

   • Return back to the hotel for a shower, rest, and lunch.

   • Set out to Kibuye to see Kivu lake. This lake is one of the African Great Lakes. It lies on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda and is in the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift.

   Overnight stay at Moria Hill hotel.

4. Day 4: Gisenyi

   • Enjoy fun boat rides at Lake Kivu.

   • Head to Gisenyi for check-in at Kivu Serena hotel for an overnight stay.

5. Day 5: Return to Kigali

   • Start your day with a Gisenyi city tour including a visit to the border area that this place shares with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

   • Proceed to see Nyamyumba Hot Springs, situated about 7 km from Gisenyi town. Relax and soak in these waters believed to have healing properties. 

   • Return to your hotel for lunch followed by drop-off at Kigali International airport for your further travels.
