State Museum-Reserve Of Alexander Pushkin Tour
Begin this tour with a visit to the Mikhailovskoye, Pushkin's family estate and the site where he spent two years in exile. He wrote no less than 100 poems during this time, among which are the central chapters of the famous “Eugene Onegin”, the tragedy “Boris Godunov”, and many other great masterpieces. The author drew his inspiration from the adjoining countryside, where he spent his day's horseback riding, swimming, and strolling. The landscape has not changed since his time, as you will get to enjoy the same views he did.
Visit the Assumption Monastery, whose library Pushkin used to visit and which inspired him to start writing. Also, visit the poet's grave within the monastery.
Visit the Trigorskoye house, which served as a great consolation and a source of inspiration for Pushkin as a site for merrymaking, flirting, and talent. The poet is said to have often made his entrance into the house by leaping into the dining room through an open window. While exploring the estate, discuss Pushkin’s life, his personality, his relationship with different people and their influence on him and his poetry.
