Description
Embark on a trekking adventure to hike up Mount Kazbek, a double-headed mountain whose two summits are surrounded by slopes and covered with massive glaciers. Enjoy steady climbs for acclimatisation and pay a respectful visit to Gergeti Trinity Church, an ancient monastery situated atop the mountain.
Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival in Kazbegi
- Meet your tour guide in Kazbegi village. (Transfer from Tbilisi or Vladikavkaz can be organised separately.)

Day 2- Hike 2170 m - Kazbegi Village
Trek to the highest operating Orthodox Church situated at an elevation of 2,170 m.
Prepare for the next day's climb.
Overnight stay in Kazbegi village.

Day 3- Sabetse Pass - Meteorological Station
Climb to the Meteorological station (at 3,600 m) through Sabetse Pass. (7-9 hours) with Kazbek trekking guide.
Overnight stay at the Meteorological station.

Day 4- Climb 4,000 m - Meteorological Station
Take an acclimatization hike to a chapel located at an elevation of 4,000 m.
Overnight stay at the Meteorological station.

Day 5- Leisure Day
- Spend the day at leisure.

Day 6- Kazbek Summit - Meteorological Station
Climb to the Kazbek summit (6-8 hours trek).
Descend to the Meteorological station.
Overnight stay at the Meteorological station.

Day 7- Reserve Day
Reserve day. The tour will keep an extra day during the trek so as to accommodate unexpected situations and weather conditions.

Day 8- Kazbegi Departure
Descend to the village of Kazbegi.
