Major attractions of Smederevo & Pozarevac from Belgrade
Pickup from hotel in Belgrade at 8 am. The tour leads to Eastern Serbia and includes the most interesting historical attractions of this region.
Stop at the Smederevo fortress, the biggest lowland fortress in Europe and the last stronghold of medieval Serbia.
Continue the history lesson at Viminacium archaeological site.
Explore remains of its mausoleum, amphitheatre and baths while listening about the ancient city and the capital of the Roman province Moesia Superior and the military camp located in this area during the Roman era.
See the mammoth park with a spectacular skeleton of a five-million-year-old mammoth.
Visit Golubac fortress, located at the entrance to the Iron Gate, the longest gorge in Europe.
Walk along the Danube river and enjoying the beautiful views of the river.
Continue to Lepenski Vir, an archaeological site with remains of the oldest urban settlement in Europe. The site consists of one large settlement with several satellite villages. It is optional to walk around the site, watch a short film about its excavation and take a virtual tour using computers.
Stop at the ethno complex Kapetan Misin Breg, with a beautiful viewpoint of the Danube river.
