Itinerary

1. Day 1: City tour of Bucharest

   • We will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel on the first day.
   • Depending on the time of your arrival, we will start a city tour of Bucharest in addition to the pedestrian tour at the historical center, and also visit the Palace of the Parliament and the Village Museum.

   Overnight in Bucharest.

2. Day 2: Leave for Brasov medieval town and stop by Sinaia

   • After breakfast, we will depart for Brasov Medieval Town.
   • On the way, stop by Sinaia for the former summer royal residence and the Peles Castle that is undeniably one of the most beautiful castles in Europe.
   • Reach Brasov in the afternoon and explore the Old City.

   Overnight in Brasov.

3. Day 3: Drive to Transylvania to visit Sighisoara Citadel

   • Drive to Transylvania to visit Sighisoara Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage centre.
   • On the way, we'll stop by Viscri village for the fortified church.

   Overnight in Sighisoara.

4. Day 4: Leave for Sibiu and explore fortified churches on the way

   • Today we leave for Sibiu. En-route explore Malancrav and Biertan Saxon Villages for their old fortified churches.
   • Reach Sibiu and visit the Old City.

5. Day 5: All day tour of Sibiu and visit Corvin Castle

   • Enjoy a tour of Sibiu all day.
   • Bonus: Visit the medieval Corvin Castle.

   Overnight in Sibiu.

6. Day 6: Drive to Maramures and spend the night at Breb village

   • From Sibiu, drive to Maramures.
   • Stop by the impressive Turda Salt Mine.
   • In the evening, arrive in the traditional village of Breb in Maramures where we will stay for 3 days at a traditional wooden house with old furniture for accommodation, and you will enjoy traditional meals prepared by locals.

7. Day 7: Explore Maramures, and ride on the Mocanita steam train

   • While in Maramures, visit wooden churches in Budesti, Desesti, Ieud and Barsana.
   • Get a perspective on the ancient ways of doing things by visiting the watermill in Sarbi Village.
   • The Merry Cemetery in Sapanta and the anti-communism fighters memorial in Sighet will be on our program.
   • On one of the days, we will take the Mocanita steam train for a fantastic ride through forests, valleys, and remote villages.

8. Day 8: Explore Maramures all day

   • Spend the day exploring Maramures.

9. Day 9: Head to Bucovina at stop by Moldovita Monastery

   • From Maramures, drive to Bucovina in the northeast of Romania.
   • On our way, stop by the Moldovita Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

   Overnight in Vama Village.

10. Day 10: Visit painted monasteries and overnight stay at Iasi

    • In the morning, visit 2 painted monasteries: Voronet and Humor, listed in UNESCO World Heritage.

    Overnight in Iasi.

11. Day 11: Transfer to Crisan village and take a boat ride

    • From Iasi, we'll move towards the Danube river in the southeast of Romania.
    • From Tulcea, we'll be transferred to Crisan village in the Danube Delta.
    • In the evening, we'll admire the sunset from a boat on one of the lakes there. 

    Overnight in Crisan Village (All meals included).

12. Day 12: Explore Danube Delta all day

    • Explore the amazing Danube Delta all day.
    • We'll take a boat ride to admire narrow channels, wildlife, birds, animals, and remote villages.

13. Day 13: Drive back to Bucharest from Tulcea

    • In the morning, we'll be transferred to Tulcea, and from there, start our drive back to Bucharest.

    Overnight in Bucharest.

14. Day 14: Depart for the Bucharest Airport

    • Transfer to the Airport.
