If you love nature and adrenaline, this tour is definitely for you. Explore the natural beauty of Turda Gorge and experience the excitement of an alpine zipline trail in Transylvania. Enjoy hiking through the gorge and riding the only alpine trail in the region at speeds of up to 60 km/h.

Itinerary

Turda Gorge Tour
- Meet your tour guide at your accommodation and start the tour at noon in Cluj-Napoca. You will be transported in an air-conditioned minibus.
- Head to Turda Gorge. From here, you will use a zipline to get to the canyon.
- Go hiking through and up Turda Gorge.
- Finish the hiking trail, and then you will head to the only alpine trail in Transylvania. The alpine grain route is 1.5 kilometres, which can be travelled at a maximum of 60 kilometres per hour. The reels are for one or two people and support up to 150 kilograms.
- Head back to your accommodation in Cluj-Napoca in the evening.

Turda Gorge is accessible for all age tourists, adults, and children. Turda Gorge has more than you can wish for: an accessible footpath, a small river, a canyon, some caves, climbing rocks.

It is important to have good hiking shoes because you'll do a 3-hour hike through Turda Gorges.

Not recommended for travellers with back problems, heart problems or other serious medical conditions.

Travellers should have a moderate physical fitness level.

This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you will be offered a different date or a full refund.

Every participant will be requested to purchase their own trek insurance for the duration of the trip, which covers mountains in summer conditions up to 2,000 m.

Basic hiking gear required for a day hike in the summer:

Hiking boots with adherent sole,”Vibram sole if it is possible”, waterproof and preferably with high ankles

Breathable t-shirt, 1-2-3

Quick Dry Pants-Shorts

Warm blouse (in a bag in the backpack),

Jacket (waterproof),

Raincoat,

Moisture-wicking underwear

Socks (synthetic or wool)

Hiking poles (optional), we will offer them

Small backpack approx 20L to 30L,

2L water bottle or reservoir,

Sunglasses,

Sunscreen,

Sun hat,

Food for the trail (sandwiches, carbohydrate-rich energy bars, granola, trail mix and fruit provide an instant pick-me-up on the trail)

For winter hiking, the company will provide you with snowshoes, avalanche transceivers (if the case) or gaiters
