Itinerary

Day 1 Bucharest – Sibiu area
Meet your guide in the morning at your hotel in Bucharest.
Start the journey with a panoramic tour of Bucharest. The tour includes visiting Parliament Palace, Revolution Square, Athenaeum, Royal Palace, Triumph Arch, and Victoriei Avenue.
Continue on the way to the area of Sibiu, crossing the Carpathian mountains.
Do a walking tour of Sibiu’s Old District.
Next, we will stop in an old village in the Sibiu area. You can enjoy a horse-driven wagon tour in the old village. Learn more about the local traditions and way of living, and visit an icon painting museum and a local household—traditional dinner in a local house.

Day 2: Sibiu - Hunedoara - Alba Iulia - Sighisoara
In the morning, we will go to Hunedoara to visit the most important medieval castle in Romania – Corvin’s (Hunyadi) Castle, dating since the 15th century.
We will continue to Alba Iulia, a city with a long history dating since ancient times.
Visit the Orthodox Cathedral, Catholic Cathedral, the fortification system built in the “Vauban” style.
End the day in Sighisoara. Taste the local drinks in the evening, and enjoy the plum/pear brandy tasting in a small family cellar.
Overnight in a three-star hotel in the Old Town – Hotel Sighisoara or similar

Day 3: Sighisoara – Saschiz – Prejmer – Brasov
We will start the day with a visit to the medieval town of Sighisoara (UNESCO), also called “The Pearl of Transylvania”, a wonderful medieval city where you can enjoy the medieval atmosphere.
Next, we will drive through an area of old Transylvania villages which preserve their architecture and customs.
Stop at Saschiz village, which is famous for its natural homemade jams. Visit and jam-tasting in a local produce shop.
Next, we will visit the fortified church from Prejmer (UNESCO), dating since the 13th century and having a unique defensive architecture.
In the afternoon, do a walking tour of the medieval center of Brasov. Council Square, Black Church, White and Black Towers, Weaver’s Bastion and Ecaterina’s Gate are the tour highlights.
Overnight in Brasov at Bella Musica Hotel, located in the Old Town

Day 4: Brasov – Bran – Sinaia – Bucharest
In the morning, we will visit the famous Bran castle. Also called Dracula`s Castle, it is situated not far from Brasov (25 kilometres) at the Bran - Rucar passage entrance.
Continue to Sinaia and visit the Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the kings of Romania.
End our journey with a panoramic tour of Bucharest. Highlights: Parliament Palace, Revolution Square, Athenaeum, Royal Palace, Triumph Arch and Victoriei Avenue.
Drop-off at the airport (approx 5.30-6.00 pm) or to a hotel in Bucharest.
