Belém Tour by Boat
Embark on this tour and gain a 360º perspective through the city of Lisbon and the Tagus River with your Lisbon tour guide.
Start the visit at Praça do Comércio so that you can get on the boat towards the Tagus River.
Make an outside visit to the Belém Tower, considered a national heritage and still a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Torre de Belém was built in the 16th century to protect the Tagus river from pirate attacks. Its architectural style is known for the Manueline Gothic finish.
After visiting the Tower, go to Padrão dos Descobrimentos, a memorial to sailors, explorers and “men of letters” who launched themselves into the sea in search of new territory since the 15th century.
To end the tour, visit the ex-libris of the Belém neighbourhood, the Jerónimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Belém is thus a place where the world of Portuguese Discoveries is explored.
