Escape the city for a day and discover the hidden gems of Podlasie! Our journey begins in Tykocin, a charming town with a rich past, once a thriving shtetl and an important cultural and trade center. Stroll through its picturesque market square, admire the stunning Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity, and visit the 17th-century synagogue, one of the best-preserved Jewish heritage sites in Poland, offering a glimpse into the town’s multicultural history.
After exploring Tykocin, we’ll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can taste regional specialties and enjoy the flavors of Podlasie.
Next, we’ll head to Pentowo, known as the "Stork Village." Nestled along the scenic Narew River, this unique nature reserve is home to dozens of stork nests, earning it the title of the European Stork Capital. Walk through the peaceful countryside, observe these majestic birds in their natural habitat, and soak in the beauty of Podlasie’s landscapes.
Please keep in mind that storks can be observed in Pentowo between end of March and mid August.
