Warsaw Sightseeing Tour
Go for a walk around the former Jewish district. It will be a memorable journey through the past. In 1939, Warsaw housed the second largest population of Jews (after New York) in the world. This fascinating area was inhabited by over 400,000 people, who were swept from the earth's surface in a short span of 3 years. Learn about the story of the Jewish District.
Walking past the remnants of the Ghetto walls, follow the Trail of Martyrdom and Memory from the monument of the Ghetto Heroes to the former old railway station, called Umschlagplatz from where 300,000 Jews were sent to the extermination camp in Treblinka in 1943.
Learn about the everyday life in the Ghetto, cooperation among the Poles, resistance against the Germans, and about the Jewish Uprising: the first attempt of the kind in occupied Europe.
