Highlights of Krakow City Centre
- Meeting in Krakow Rynek between 9-10 am.
- After our meeting & quick introduction, we begin with a walking tour of Krakow's Old Town. The tour will take you through the city's historical sites, including Wawel Castle, Main Market Square, and St. Mary's Basilica. (2-3h)
- An additional entrance ticket is applicable for the Wawel Castle exhibition room, which must be pre-booked. A guided tour of the Wawel Hill Complex takes around 1-1.5 hours.
- Next, we stroll along the Vistula River and visit the spectacular viewpoint of Wawel Hill. The hill offers stunning views of Krakow and is a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.
- After visiting the flame-throwing dragon (Wawel Dragon), we walk to Kazimierz, Krakow's Jewish Quarter. The charming district has a vibrant history, rustic streets, and cosy cafe options. Kazimierz Centre has shops with the best Zapikankas in Poland :) (1.5h approx.)
- From Kazimierz, we walk to Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory located at Lipowa 4. This place offers the unique perspective of Krakow during WW2 (1939-45) when the Nazis occupied it.
- After the Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory tour, we head to the fragments of the Ghetto wall and the Jewish Ghetto Memorial. We then walk or take public transport to reach Krakow Eye, the Ferris wheel offering a bird’s eye view of Krakow. It is a spectacular activity quite admired by kids and adults alike.
- From there, we will return to the Krakow centre by public transport to finish our walking tour. With my favourite cafe recommendation, I will say goodbye to you. :)
