Lesser Poland Wooden Architecture Trail UNESCO Private Tour from Krakow
The tour starts at 8:00 am and lasts around 10 hours. Transport lasts for 4.5 hours.
The first town you will visit is Lipnica Murowana, with the St. Leonard’s church, built at the end of the 15th century. This is one of the six wooden churches in southern Lesser Poland that belong to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The alternate stage of the tour is St. Michael Archangel’s church in Binarowa, and it is one of the most valuable occurrences of late Gothic architecture in Poland.
The next stop on the route is the village of Sękowa, where there is another example of Gothic wooden architecture - St. Philip’s and St. James’s church, which was built at the beginning of the 15th century. This church is named “Pearl of Beskid Niski”.
The last point of the tour is a visit to Owczary, where an Orthodox church of the Protection of The Holy Virgin is located. It is one of the oldest Lemko orthodox churches erected in the half of the 17th century.
