Dare to trek up the Concordia confluence and K2 Base Camp mountain peaks and ranges. Experience wilderness with sights of rocks, glaciers, open plains, hills, valleys; and rest under open skies in campsites.
Itinerary

Islamabad
Spend the day in Islamabad finalising trekking permits with the Ministry of Tourism and visiting the Deputy Chief of Operations for a briefing on the trek.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

ISLAMABAD - Skardu
In the morning, you will be taken to Islamabad airport for the PIA Boeing flight to Skardu (2,438 m).
Reach Skardu and spend the night here.

Skardu
Enjoy your day in Skardu, Baltistan. This place is also called 'Little Tibet' due to its similarities with culture, lifestyle, and architecture with Tibet.
You can stroll through the Skardu bazaar or climb up a cliff to visit the historic Kharpocho Fort (King of forts) or even visit the turquoise blue Satpara Lake, about 8 kms north of Skardu.
Meals and overnight stay at a motel/resort.

Askole
On day 4, you will begin hiking with your mountaineering tour guide to Askole. You will start east from Skardu and cross over a small pass leading into Shigar Valley. It's orchards of apricots, peaches, plums, apples, nuts etc. are unique to Baltistan.
Leave the jeeps at Askole area for a short walk to camping site.
Meals and overnight stay at camp.

ASKOLE - BIAFO GLACIER
Begin day 5 with early morning trek.
After walking along the Braldu river from the campsite, you will reach Askole - the last permanent settlement along this trek route. Another three hours into the walk across barren wastelands and you will see the Biafo Glacier - a sea of ice and rock. This glacier is 2 kms wide at the crossing point
Next, it will take you another two hours to cross the glacier on an established trail, walking most of the time on moraine and occasionally on ice.
Reach Korofan (3110 m).

Paiju
Begin day 6 with a tough walk alongside a cliff to arrive at the new wooden bridge over Dumordo River. You can see Gashabrum IV, the world's 17 highest mountain, and 6th highest in Pakistan.
Later, you will reach a point where waters from the Paiju Peak divide themselves into four rushing streams.
Finally, you will arrive at Paiju (6610 m) - a picturesque campsite situated in a grove of willows, poplar trees, andstreams.

Baltoro glacier - KHOBURSAY
Spend the first hours of day 7 making gradual climb towards the snout of Baltoro Glacier - a vast, turbulent sea of rock and ice, more than two miles wide and nearly forty miles long.
The first stretch of the walk on the glacier can be difficult as there will be small crevasses but there will be magnificent views all around. The Cathedral Range and the Trango Towers will be visible from here.
Spend three hours walking across boulder-strewn ice, gaining height gradually until you reach a flat, sandy area This is the Khobursay campsite at the side of Baltoro glacier at 3800 m.

Urdukas - Biango Goro 2
On day 8, the first two hours of your trek are spent walking across the glacier’s lateral moraine until you arrive at the green pasture of Urdukas. From here, cross side crevasses to traverse the medial moraine. This middle part of the glacier holds small streams of water rushing over clear blue ice.
As you proceed, Gashabrum II (8035 m, 13th highest mountain of the world) will be visible in the east. You will also be mesmerized with gorgeous views of Mashabrum peal (7821 m) in the south.
Stop at Biango campsite.

Concordia
On day 9, we walk towards the incredible sanctuary of Concordia. Concordia (8611 m), the second highest mountain, is a meeting place of five glaciers and is named after the Place de la Concorde in Paris. Within a radius of 15 km, there are 41 peaks above 6500 m, and most of them are unnamed or haven't yet been explored.
Also visible from Concordia, clockwise from K-2 are: Broad Peak (8047 m), Gashabrum IV (7925 m), Baltoro Kangri (7312 m), Kondus (6760 m), Mitre (6010 m), Paiju (6610 m), Crystal (6252 m), Marble (6175 m), and Angle Peak (6860 m).

K2 Base Camp
On day 10, we trek to the K2 base camp involving a strenuous 8-hour round-trip trek over snow, rock, and ice.
Cross the crevasses of the Baltoro Glacier and then walk on the lateral moraine of the Godwin Austin glacier. Then, you will be able to see Chogolisa (7660 m) in the distance.
Then after 2 more hours of walking, we will arrive at K2 base camp which is normally occupied by five mountaineering expeditions during the climbing season every year. Enjoy breathtaking views here.
Descend to Concordia.

Condordia to Goro 2
On day 11, we finally begin the return journey to Skardu. The trek will be downhill now and Gore will be first stop on this return trek.

Gore 2 to Urdukas
On day 12, we will start from Gore. From here, it is a five to six hours of trek to Urdukas.
Overnight stay at Urdukas campsite.

Urdukas - Khoburzay
We begin this day with a walk down to Biango at 4350 m above sea level.
Stay overnight at Khoburzay campsite.

Khoburzay - Paiju
On day 14, our first stop on the downwards journey is Paiju.
After reaching Paiju campsite, you can rest or explore surrounding areas, if interested.

Paiju – Jola
Next, we move on towards Jola camping site, which is situated on the banks of Baltoro and Dumurdo rivers.

Jola – Askole
On day 16, we start early with breakfast and continue with our return trek.
Next, we cross the Dumurdo River and climb the Pari rock so as to arrive at Korophone. From here, we proceed towards Askole and take a jeep onward to Skardu.

Skardu
This day is the last day of your trek. Enjoy well with good breakfast in camp. Spend time with the camping staff.
Next, board 4x4 jeeps for a bumpy ride through the Karakoram mountain ranges to reach Skardu.
Overnight stay at Skardu.

Skardu - ISlamabad
On day 18, you have option of either flying to Islamabad or driving to the city.

ISLAMABAD
Explore the city and/or rest.
Depart for return flight/journey.
