Trek through the Cordillera Huayhush, a beautiful adventure circuit, for gorgeous views of different passes over 4500m on this 10-day tour. See pristine turquoise glacier lakes and jagged snow-capped peaks. Walking in the valley, enjoy being surrounded by highland vegetation and grasslands.
Itinerary

Day 1: Huaraz (3100m) – Chiquian (3400m) – Llamac Village (3300m) – Cuartelhuain Camp (4200m)
- Depart from Huaraz at 7:00 am to the south of Callejon de Huaylas on the paved road until Chiquian, passing on the way to Bay Chiquian province, Llamac and Cocpa village until Cuartelhuahin campsite at 4200m.
Overnight camp at Cuartelhuain.

Day 2: Cuartelhuain Camp (4200m) – Cacananpunta Pass (4700m) – Mitucocha Camp (4230m)
Trek towards Cacananpunta Pass at 4700m. After reaching, be on the continental divide to enjoy taking amazing pictures of deep valleys, hills and snowcapped peaks.
Descend to the next camp at Jancapampa, with an amazing view of Mount Jirishanca and Mount Ninashanca in the background.
Overnight camp at Mitucocha.

Day 3: Mitucocha Camp (4230m) – Carhuac Pass (4650m) – Carhuacocha Lake Camp (4200m)
Walk on easy terrain until Punta Carhuac Pass (4650m). From this pass, you can witness a breathtaking view of the highest peaks of Huayhuash, such as Yerupaja (6617m), the famous Siula Grande (6344m), and Jirishanca.
Hike down until Lake Carhuacocha, a genuinely gorgeous lake and scenic campsite with an astonishing mountain view in the background.
Overnight camp at Lake Carhuacocha.

Day 4: Carhuacocha Camp (4200m) - Siula Pass (4830m) – Huayhuash Camp (4330m) / Optional Trek Carnicero Pass (4600m)
Enjoy the spectacular sunrise and water in the lake, reflecting the mountain. Start walking up toward Siula Pass and enjoy the most fabulous breathtaking view behind three glacier lakes: Siula, Quesilococha, etc.
Walk down until Huayhuash camping spot at 4330m.
Overnight camp at Huayhuash.

Day 5: Huayhuash Camp (4330m) - Portachuelo Pass (4750m) – Viconga (4430m)
Start walking up towards the spectacular pass of Portachuelo de Huayhuash. See Mount Puscanturpa and Mount Trapecio on the way. Enjoy the view of the Cordillera Raura at the pass, and descend towards the largest Lake Viconga until Vigonca campsite.
Enjoy showering and swimming in the hot spring close to the campsite in the afternoon.

Day 6: Viconga – Cuyoc Pass (5000m) – San Antonio Viewpoint (5020m) – Huanacpatay Camp (4200m)
Hike to the second-highest pass on the trek. After a few days of trekking above 4000m, tourists get acclimatized to cross the Punta Cuyoc pass.
From the pass, have the most impressive mountain views, and then continue descending on the steep segment until the flat bottom grass valley.
Climb the San Antonio viewpoint at 5020m and enjoy a splendid view of summits, glacier lakes and deep valleys.
Return on the same path until Elefante and Huanacpaty campsite at 4200m.

Day 7: Huanacpatay (4200m) – Huactic Camp (4350m)
Walk down along Huanacpatay Valley until isolated Huayllapa hamlet after breakfast.
From this village, walk upon a far, narrow valley until the grass valley of Huatiac, the camping spot.

Day 8: Huatiac - Punta Tapush Pass (4750m) – Rinconada Camp (4250m)
Trek up from Huatiac toward Tapush Pass.
On the way, enjoy the mountain views such as Mount Diablo Mudo, Lake Susucocha, etc.
After that, descend to the campsite, which lies close to Quenual forest.
Overnight camp at Rinconada.

Day 9: Caspapampa - Yaucha Pass (4800m) – Jahuacocha Camp
Start walking up toward Punta Yaucha pass.
From the pass, enjoy taking the most spectacular mountain views, such as the majestic Mount Yerupaja and even Condor, if lucky.
Continue walking down, enjoying the spectacular views of Lake Jahuacocha and Mount Jirishanca until the Jahuacocha campsite.
Overnight camp at Jahuacocha.

Day 10: Jahuacocha - Pampa Llamac (4300m) - Llamac - Huaraz
Hike towards Pampa Llamac Pass at 4300 after completing the Andean circuit. Rest and take some pictures.
Descend on the slope trail until Llamac Village, where private transportation will take you back to Huaraz.
Time: 5 hours (walk up/walk down & driving time: 4 hours)
